Spring weather has finally arrived here in Connecticut and as you hit the road to head to your favorite springtime activities, it's important to make sure your car is in shape for the season. We'd like to share a few spring maintenance tips so you can make sure your car is running at its best this season.

  • Tires and Wheels: Check your tire pressure, have your tires rotated and have your wheels aligned and balanced. As the weather warms up, the pressure in your tires increases, so it's important to keep an eye on that, and a tire rotation will keep your tires from wearing prematurely. Also with the harsh conditions and potholes your car has faced this winter, the wheels may have been knocked out of whack, so an alignment and balance will get your car running smoothly and handling responsively again. We will gladly take care of your tire needs at our Subaru service center in CT.
  • Brakes: Your brakes take a beating in the winter between the harsh conditions and the salt on the roads, so it's important to have them check to make sure they are in good shape and replace them if necessary for a safe drive.
  • Battery: Cold weather can drain your battery so, if your battery is on the older side, it might need to be replaced after a harsh winter. Have it checked to see if it's in good condition.
  • Oil: Your oil needs to be changed regularly to keep your engine running smoothly so, when you bring your car in for its spring maintenance, it's also a good time to take care of your Subaru oil change here in CT.
  • Wiper blades: Your wiper blades worked overtime through all that snow so springtime is the perfect time to replace them to ensure you have great visibility this season.
  • Car Wash: Wash your car top to bottom (emphasis on the bottom) to make sure there's no salt lingering. Salt can corrode your car, so it's important to make sure your car gets clean after a snowy winter.
