A 12-year-old girl from Hamden with a blood disorder was chosen as one of 12 recipients across the country as part of the Subaru Week of Wishes program in partnership with Make-A-Wish. Quality Subaru in Wallingford partnered with Make-A-Wish Connecticut, helping grant her life-changing wish for a "cheer cave" basement makeover during a celebration at the retailer's showroom.
Chloe, 12, has a blood disorder. She thought she was going to look at cars with her family but was instead surprised by family friends, and community members Make-A-Wish, and Subaru partners, with a cheer-themed party to celebrate the granting of her wish. Quality Subaru surprised Chloe at the event with a performance from a number of dance teams, along with her favorite snacks and activities.

"We know how physically and emotionally difficult medical treatments can be for children and their families," said Peter Zagorski, general manager of Quality Subaru. "As a supporter of Make-A-Wish Connecticut, we hope to provide local children like Chloe with strength and positivity to fight against a critical illness. This is one of many ways Quality Subaru gives back throughout the year, and we're grateful for our partnership with Make-A-Wish to make a lasting impact."

Approximately 27,000 children are diagnosed with a critical medical condition each year, according to Make-A-Wish, which also shows research that a wish can lead to better health outcomes and a higher chance of survival.
"We are incredibly thankful for the ongoing support from Quality Subaru," said Kris Moran, director of marketing and communications at Make-A-Wish Connecticut. "Thanks to our community partners, we are able to transform lives in the community, one wish at a time."
Quality Subaru is one of a dozen Subaru retailers across the country helping to grant children's wishes over the span of one week as part of a national "Week of Wishes" initiative to make a lasting impact to wish children, their families, and entire communities. Through the annual Subaru Share the Love Event holiday campaign, more than 600 Subaru retailers across the country partner with Make-A-Wish to help support children and families impacted by critical illness. Since 2011, Subaru of America and its participating retailers have donated more than $32 million, helping to grant more than 3,300 wishes in the U.S.
